Born in Gaziantep in 1971, Abdulkadir Şahin completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Gaziantep. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University İ.İ.B.F Finance Department in 1993. He completed his master's degree at Celal Bayar University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Finance in 1996. He has been studying PhD at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Finance. In 1998, he was assigned as a lecturer to Besni Vocational School and he still works there as a lecturer.
