Fatih TUFANER was born in Yozgat. He completed the Yıldız Technical University Civil Engineering Department Environmental Engineering Department in 2000 with his undergraduate thesis on "The Effects of Natural Radon Emission on Human Health and Necessary Measures to be Taken" and earned his bachelor's degree in 2005. He worked as a student assistant at the Department of Environmental Engineering in the 2004 - 2005 academic year. He started his master's degree in Yıldız Technical University FBE Environmental Engineering Department in 2006, and completed his thesis on "Detection and Mapping of Noise Originating from Istiklal Street and Its Surrounding Places" in 2009. He started his doctorate education in Yıldız Technical University FBE Environmental Engineering Program in 2011, and completed his thesis on "Research for the Improvement of Biomethanization Processes of Bovine Waste" in 2015. He worked as an environmental engineer in the private sector between 2005-2006 and in Beyoğlu Municipality between 2007-2010. Between 2010 and 2012, he worked as the assistant principal at Çankırı Karatekin University Kızılırmak Vocational High School. Between 2012-2016, he was a lecturer at Adıyaman University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering, between 2016-2023, Dr. He served as a lecturer. In 2020, he received his Associate Professorship in Environmental Sciences and Engineering. He is still working as an Associate Professor in the same department. He is fluent in English. He is married and has three children.
