She graduated from F.N. Tekerekoglu Anatolian high school in Gaziantep.

After she finished her bachaler degree at the University of Ankara, she worked at ziraat bank for a short period of time.

By MEB scholarship, she went to United states and got her master and PHD degrees at the University of Oklahoma.

Her PHD advisor Prof. Dr. Keri Kornelson and Thesis title: Norm retrieval from spatio-temparal samples.
