Funda İpekten was born in Malatya. She graduated from Fırat University, Faculty of Science, Department of Statistics in 2011 in 2015. She completed her master’s degree at Erciyes University, Department of Biostatistics, in 2020. In 2020, she started her doctorate at Erciyes University, Department of Biostatistics. She was included in the "Personalized Medicine and Advanced Analytics" research group during her doctoral studies. In his research, he worked in many fields, such as biostatistics, multi-omic data integration methods, machine learning methods, GAMLSS methods, and comparisons of laboratory methods. During her graduate education, İpekten worked as a visiting researcher at Maastricht University with her thesis study titled "Performance Investigation of Approaches and Classification Methods used in Integration Multi-Omics Data." During his research, she made publications, attended seminars and courses, refereed journals, and gave training. She used many statistical programs and R software in her research. İpekten started to work as a research assistant at Adıyaman University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biostatistics, in 2023.
