Dr. Herdem completed his PhD and master in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Canada under supervision Prof. Feridun Hamdullahpur . He specifically focused on energy conversion technologies during his PhD education. He gained invaluable experience on how productive research can be conducted, and how technical reports can be prepared in an effective way during his Ph.D. In addition, He has gained extensive knowledge about people who are from different countries. Therefore, he has excellent multicultural communication skills and is capable of easily adapting to work in a multicultural environment. He also worked on a project about smart energy infrastructures at the University of Waterloo as a postdoctoral researcher. His current project goals are to design next-generation energy conversion systems using big data and novel energy conversion technologies.
