Tuba Gün Çıngı received her master's and doctoral degrees in sociology from Anadolu University after completing her bachelor's degree at Fırat University's Department of Sociology in 2010. She earned her MA in 2013 with a thesis titled "Urban Regeneration: A Sociological Investigation on Eskisehir," and her Ph.D. in 2019 with a dissertation titled "A Sociological Research on the Fear of Terror and Risk Perception in Ankara."
Dr. Çıngı has been a faculty member at Adıyaman University since 2019 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2023. Her primary research interests include urban studies, space, fear of terrorism and crime, and the sociology of disaster. Having published numerous academic works in these fields, she is also serving as the Principal Investigator for two key TÜBİTAK 3005 projects starting in 2025: "Values and Social Capital Research after the Earthquake" and "Motherhood in Container Cities After the February 6th Earthquake: Challenges and Coping Strategies."
