Prof.Dr. Yasin Çiçek was born in Belören town of Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman in Turkey.

Mr. Çiçek completed his primary education in Belören in 1978, and he completed his secondary and high school education in Izmir Bornova Anatolian High School in 1986 as a boarder.

He graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Dentistry in 1994. He completed his PhD in the Department of Periodontology in 2000.

Mr. Çiçek who worked in the same faculty as an assistant professor until 2005, became an associate professor in 2005 and a professor in 2010.

He served in the faculty board of directors and in various commissions of the faculty. Four doctoral theses and four speciality theses were completed under his direction.

He worked as a manager in scientific research projects.

He has 45 articles published in international and national journals.

24 of them are within the context of SCI.

550 citations were made to his articles by Web of Science.

In February 2012, he was appointed to the Faculty of Dentistry of Adıyaman University by Article 40b of Law No. 2547.

After working as the vice dean for a short time, he was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry of Adıyaman University in June 2012.

He served as dean until 10.03.2020.

In 21.03.2022 was employed as chief physician.  After the 6 February 2023 earthquake, mychief physician ended.

I was appointed as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry on 31.08.2023. 

On 23.12.2013, Adiyaman University Faculty of Dentistry was appointed as a faculty member of the Department of Periodontology.

He is married and has four children.

He is currently working as a faculty member at Adıyaman University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology.
