He graduated from Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. In 1993, he was appointed as a Research Assistant to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pre-Clinical Sciences, Microbiology Department. In 1995, he was awarded a doctorate in Selcuk University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Microbiology (Veterinary). In 1996, he was appointed as a Research Assistant to do his doctorate in the Department of Microbiology (Veterinary) of the Institute of Health Sciences at Selçuk University. He completed his pHd thesis in 2003. Between 2004-2011, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pre-Clinical Sciences, Microbiology Department. In 2011, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor by ÜAK. Between 2012 and 2014, he worked as an Associate Professor in Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pre-Clinical Sciences, Microbiology Department. Between 2014-2017, he worked as an Associate Professor at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Basic Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology. He was appointed as an Associate Professor in Adıyaman University Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Basic Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology in 2017. In 2017, he was appointed as a Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Department of Pharmacy Basic Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Adıyaman University. Since 2017, he has been working as a Professor in Adıyaman University Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Basic Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology. Prof. Dr. Abdulbaki AKSAKAL is married and has three children.
