Although Dr. Özlem AK GÜMÜS is originally from Konya, she was born in Bingöl in 1980. Dr. Ak Gümüş completed his primary school in Bartın's Kurucaşile district, her secondary school in Nevşehir's Acıgöl district, and her high school education in Konya's Akşehir district. In 2001, Dr. Ak Gümüş graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Science and Letters Department of Mathematics, which entered 1997, as the ranking first in department. Dr. Gümüş completed his master's degree in 2005 at Selçuk University, Institute of Science, Department of Mathematics, with his thesis titled "Methods on the Stability of Scalar Equations". Dr. Ak Gümüş entered doctorate program in 2006; and completed it as the ranking first at Selçuk University Institute of Science and Technology in 2011 with her thesis titled "Allee Effect on the Stability". Between 2002 and 2011, Dr. Ak Gümüş worked as a Research Assistant at Selçuk University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Mathematics. During this period, Dr. Ak Gümüş gave practical lessons Topology, Abstract Mathematics, Analysis in the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences; General Mathematics in the Department of Chemistry and in the Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Geological Engineering Departments. In the same year, Dr. Ak Gümüş started working as Assistant Professor at Adıyaman University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Mathematics, Department of Applied Mathematics. Continuing her research in the fields of Linear-Nonlinear Difference and Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology, Mathematical Modeling, Dr. Ak Gümüş currently continues her studies as an Associate Professor at the same university.
Dr. Ak Gümüş is married; and the mother of two boys, ages 13 and 18.
