He graduated from Atatürk University, Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education, Department of Geography Teaching. He worked as a Geography Teacher at the Ministry of Education. His doctorate education continues at Atatürk University Institute of Social Sciences. He works as a lecturer in Adıyaman University, Faculty of Education, Department of Social Studies Education. He is married and has a child.
