He was born in Mut. After completing primary school, he completed his hafiz training in Beykoz, Istanbul, in 1993. He graduated from Mut Imam Hatip High School in 1997. In 2003, he earned his degree from the Darende Faculty of Theology, which he had started in 1999. He then completed a non-thesis Master's Degree (Formation) at Ankara University. He began teaching at the Ministry of National Education (MEB) in 2005. Between 2010 and 2015, he served as a Deputy Principal at various schools. During the 2013-2014 academic year, he completed a master's degree in Tafsir at the Institute of Social Sciences, Necmettin Erbakan University. In September 2015, he started working abroad as a Religious Culture and Ethics Teacher at Bishkek Turkish Secondary School. During this period, on December 30, 2017, he completed a Master's Degree at the Faculty of Theology at Manas University. He returned to Turkey in 2019 and started working as a Religious Culture and Ethics Teacher at Karaman Prof. Dr. Ömer Dinçer Anatolian Imam Hatip High School. On April 6, 2022, he resigned from his position as Assistant Manager, which he had started at the same institution on October 1, 2021. Oflaz completed his PhD in the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences, Division of Tafsir, at the Social Sciences Institute of Necmettin Erbakan University on March 17, 2026. He is married and a father of four children.
