Born in Aschaffenburg, Germany in 1975, Prof. Dr. Cumhur Kırılmış, completed his primary education in Aschaffenburg; He completed his secondary education in Adana Atatürk Anatolian High School. After completing his undergraduate education at Fırat University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Chemistry, he started working as a research assistant at the faculty he graduated from. He completed his master's and doctoral studies in the field of "Organic Chemistry" at Fırat University.

 

During his master's and doctoral studies at Fırat University, he took part in many projects related to Organic Chemistry.

 

Kırılmış, who was appointed as Assistant Professor Doctor to Adıyaman University in 2007, continued his academic studies in Adıyaman University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Chemistry. Kırılmış, who has published many academic publications on Organic Synthesis, Polymer Chemistry, Heterocyclic Compounds, served as the advisor of 5 master's and 2 doctoral students. 72 academic publications, of which he is among the authors, received over 400 citations. Professor who also conducted many research projects. Dr. Kırılmış also worked as a researcher in many projects.

 

Having served in many administrative positions at Adıyaman University between 2007 and 2019, Kırılmış was appointed as a Professor to the Department of Chemistry of Adıyaman University Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 2019. Between 03.09.2019 and 06.02.2023, he served as University Project unit coordinator, Mevlana and Erasmus Institution Coordinator, Interuniversity Board (UAK) member, Senate-University Executive Board member and Vice Rector. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Speaks German and English. Dr. Cumhur Kırılmış is married and has two children.
