Dr. Harun TURKMENLER is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Adiyaman University. He graduated from Ankara University in 1993 and had M.Sc degree in Gebze Institute of Technology in 1998 and Ph.D degree in Sakarya University in 2005. After earning his doctoral degree, he worked as a control engineer at Directorate of Wastewater Construction at Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI) between 2006-2012. In 2012 he was appointed to assistant professorship in Environmental Engineering department at Adiyaman University. He is currently working as a full-time academician at Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering. His main research areas are adsorption, biosorption, biohydrogen production from biomass, wastewater treatment, energy efficiency in wastewater treatment plants and water quality.
